Spahats Falls

Pages 16-20. A new viewing platform for Spahats Falls was installed and opened in June 2025. It provides an awesome view of the falls and canyon, a great improvement over the old viewing area. It is a single level deck, making it convenient for people with mobility challenges whereas the old one had two tiers. The access trail has been moved back into the forest away from the edge of the cliffs, so you don’t see the falls until you approach the railing on the viewing platform. Three picnic tables have been added at the first view of the canyon where the two trails from the parking meet. Several rest benches are now available. Together with the replacement of the Helmcken Falls viewing platform in 2024, these two projects cost BC Parks about $1 million.
