Helmcken Falls viewing platform

The 2-level viewing platform that was installed in the 1980s was demolished in spring 2024 and replaced with a single level metal platform that is fully accessible for visitors with mobility challenges. It is cantilevered out above the canyon rim and extends even further out than the old platform, providing an incredible view of the falls and canyon. Along with new picnic tables, benches, 2 outhouses, and gravelled walkways, the Helmcken experience has been greatly improved at a cost of about $800,000.
